This mantra is said to be a sanskrit lullaby that when sung to children awakened them into the spiritual path. It was one of my first songs that fascinated me on the rainbow gatherings, and has long been in my favorite play list. ShimShai (www.shimshai.com), a spiritual musician from California has put it into a mesmerizing 6/8 rhythm and inspired me to record it along with three translations. Its essence is the wise saying: Be in the world but not from this world. This is the buddhist teaching that the source of all suffering comes from attachment.
